Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Menero AI mobile application or visiting our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app or website. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Menero AI.

2. Service Description

Menero is an AI-powered meal planning application that provides personalized nutrition plans, grocery lists, and health tracking features. The service is provided for informational and educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Service features include AI-generated meal plans, recipe browsing, nutritional tracking, smart grocery lists, dietary preference management (including halal, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary needs), and progress tracking.

AI personalization. Meal-plan generation uses Google Gemini (operated by Google LLC). Before any data is shared with Google, the app presents an in-app consent screen disclosing the specific data sent and asks for your explicit permission. AI features remain disabled until you accept. For a complete list of what is and is not shared with Google, see Section 4 of our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent at any time in Profile → Privacy → AI Personalization.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it updated. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account at support@menero.app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Menero. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Premium features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payment is charged through your Apple ID account. Manage subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Subscription tiers and pricing are displayed within the app prior to purchase. Pricing may vary by region. Refunds are processed by Apple per their standard policy — we cannot issue refunds directly.

If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a grace period (currently 16 days) during which you retain access while we attempt to recover the payment. If the grace period expires without successful payment, premium access is revoked.

5. Health Disclaimer

Menero provides general nutrition information and AI-generated meal plans for informational purposes only. Always consult with a healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you:

• Have a medical condition (diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, etc.)
• Are taking medication (including GLP-1 medications, blood thinners, or others)
• Are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive
• Have a history of eating disorders
• Are under 18 years old

Menero is not a registered medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Calorie and nutrition values are estimates based on standard reference databases and may vary from actual values.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Menero AI, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, recipe data, and software, are the exclusive property of Menero AI or its licensors and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, sell, or exploit any portion of the service without our written permission.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Menero (such as personal preferences, custom recipes, or feedback). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others.

8. Limitation of Liability

Menero is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Menero AI is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

• Health outcomes based on meal plan recommendations
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Errors in nutritional calculations or recipe data

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to Menero at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms other users or our service.

Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy: hidden immediately and permanently erased within 30 days. Active subscriptions continue until their billing period ends; we do not refund pro-rated amounts for early termination by the user.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Menero AI is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by your local consumer protection laws.

If you are an EU resident, your local consumer protection laws may grant you additional rights that override conflicting provisions of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes through in-app notification or email at least 30 days before they take effect.
